Freedom Is Possible
Even if you’ve tried and failed to break free from pornography in the past – there is hope, healing, and restoration waiting for you.
We Understand the Struggle
Pornography can feel impossible to overcome. You’ve tried quitting, hiding, and managing it on your own — only to find yourself stuck in a place you never wanted to be.
However, you are NOT broken beyond repair, and your past attempts do not define your future. Many have felt exactly as you do now — frustrated, ashamed, and hopeless — but real change is possible.
Trying Harder Doesn’t Work
We put accountability software on our devices. We pray longer, read the Bible more, and confess more often. We join accountability groups. We muster up every ounce of will-power we have. These are all good and important things – but often, those attempts don’t bring about the lasting change we so desperately want.
So What Does Work?

Understanding the Nature of Addiction
Treating pornography simply as a moral problem ignores many key factors. Addiction is complex — involving past trauma, faulty thinking, and neurochemistry in the brain that reinforce compulsive behaviour. Mental health challenges, relational struggles, and deep-rooted habits formed over time make breaking free especially difficult without the right tools and support.

Transformation From the Inside Out
When it comes to pornography addiction, most of us focus on changing our behaviors. But lasting transformation comes from addressing what’s underneath. Unhealed trauma, false core beliefs, and deep-seated shame are often the forces that keep us stuck — and bringing them into the light is the first step toward real freedom.

Healing Through Real Community
We are all created by God for community — designed to be fully known and fully loved. Yet addictive behaviours like pornography often drive us into isolation. The fear of rejection can make it hard to be fully honest about our struggles. Ironically, real healing happens when we step into safe, supportive relationships — with God and with others who walk alongside us.
What’s Your Next Step?
Groups are a safe place for both men and women to begin following the roadmap to lasting recovery and long-term health. Contact us today to get started.
Groups
Our groups use Pure Desire Ministries’ Seven Pillars of Freedom for men who struggle with pornography or Living Free for college-aged young men. These are two-hour, weekly, closed-group meetings with 4-7 others on the same journey of recovery. Groups run for about 10 months and help establish sobriety, provide tools and strategies for healing and recovery, and help you make sense of your story. We also offer support groups for spouses of those who struggle.
While we don’t currently offer groups for women who struggle, we would encourage women to sign up for Pure Desire’s online Unraveled or Behind the Mask Group or contact us for support.
Addiction Recovery Coaching
Every person is unique and so is your recovery journey. You may need more support than the group experience can provide alone. Individual coaching is available. Dave Trenholm has been a pastor for 15 years and is certified as a Pastoral Sex Addiction Professional (PSAP). He has been on his own journey of recovery from pornography addiction and would love to walk alongside you as you pursue health and healing!
Sexual Integrity 101
Pure Desire Ministries’ Sexual Integrity 101 is a great overview and introduction to the process of healing recovery for both the struggler and the spouse – and it’s great for anyone who wants to help make their home, church, or community a safe place of healing. We can facilitate this video series for groups of all sizes – one-on-one, in small groups, or your entire congregation!
